If you’re 15yrs or older and are looking for the best job on the planet, you’ve come to the right place! Lifeguards at GVRD’s Cunningham Pool and the Vallejo Plunge are some of the most decorated lifeguards in California, who rank job satisfaction as extremely high!

We offer lifeguard training classes through our online registration at www.gvrd.org and will be accepting applications now through April 9th. Come by Cunningham Pool for more info.

If you are new to the aquatic environment and need more time to learn the basics of swimming and lifesaving we also offer an internship called Lifeguard Academy, which you can register for on the www.gvrd.org website as well. This internship allows you to shadow lifeguard, assist with swim lessons, and come to all of our staff trainings so that you learn the ropes of being a lifeguard. This program also gives you a great chance of being hired during the summer/fall or the following summer. This program is a great resume builder!
